Synchronized Figure Skating is a team sport in which groups of 8-20 skaters create a competition-ready routine using elements such as lines, circles, blocks, splices, etc.
Synchro is great for skaters who thrive in group environments and love making new friends. It is also an opportunity to strengthen skaters' skills by expanding their knowledge of a unique type of competing and using completely different techniques than they would in their usual on-ice endeavors. Synchro skating is a great skill to add on top a skater's normal practice and private lessons, and serves as a great way to further develop the fluidity and precision of their skating, and bring out their team spirit.
2026-2027 Season Tryouts
Lone Star Synchro tryouts were held on August 5th and 12th, however, we are currently accepting new members until September 15th. Please reach out to us if your skater:

- Has a passion for skating and teamwork
We are hosting open practices on August 21, August 28, and September 11th from 5:15-6:15pm at the McKinney StarCenter. We'd love to have you!
Competitions
This year, both teams will be traveling to Irvine, California to compete in the Synchro Fall Classic at Great Park Ice Arena in November. This will be Lone Star Synchro's first time competing out of state, and we could not be more excited for everything they're going to accomplish. Good luck girls!!!
Fundraisers
Fundraisers for Lone Star Synchro happen all year round at the McKinney rink during public skating. Pay admission as you normally would, and skate happy knowing you'll be supporting our teams! Keep an eye on this website and our Facebook and Instagram to stay updated.
